2023 Community Builders Award

Joe Morgan has been involved with Goochland Habitat for Humanity home building since 2015.   He has participated in the building of 8 homes in Goochland County.  A member of the Rotary Club of Goochland, Joe is on of the directors of the flagship service project of the Rotary Club called “The Woodchuckers”.  Started on 2003, this program provides over 100+ free truckloads of wood to Goochland County residents that still heat and cook with wood.  Also, it is the largest fund raiser for the Rotary Club.   They sell mixed hardwood to raise funds for all of the 15+ programs that the Rotary Club supports in the county.  Last year, they raised over $12,000 to support the programs and citizens.  Donating on average of 300+ volunteers hours yearly, Joe lives by the motto “Service Above Self”.  He is presented the award by Worshipful Master Daniel Lee Linnabary, Dewitt Clinton Masonic Lodge #141, Goochland Virginia.

Christmas Mother 2023

We were pleased to assist Stacy Boatwright this year in her generous work as the Goochland Christmas Mother. It was rewarding labor and we were blessed to be a part of it. Thanks, Stacy! This program benefits a lot of Goochland residents who just need a little assistance.
